Ladies Slip

Ladies Slip, originally uploaded by Harriet Vane.

Ah, the Ladies' Slip.

Scene of many a Tramore courtship, if you know what I mean. Where Tramore youngsters go to get better acquainted with the object of their affection. Are you following me?

SEX IS HAD. THERE. ON THE BEACH.

Not that I'd know, obviously. I was told about it. By, eh, Marie. Can't IMAGINE how she found out.

If only the makers of "From Here To Eternity" had scouted for locations in Tramore, eh. How much more grittily real would that famous scene in the surf between Deborah Kerr and himself have been. A lost opportunity ... maybe the remake?

Ladies Slip. There are so many meanings in that one, although one could argue whether the slipping is actually being done by ladies.

It reminds me of a great country song from the 1940s, Slippin' Around. It is about two lovers who are slippin' around together behind their spouses' backs. It is a treasure.

Lucy, I see you have run out of interesting subjects on which to muse apon. Methinks the Fair City was your inspiration, and Traamore provides nothing but a quench of your alcoholic thirst!

Nothing says "get your kit off" more than broken concrete and rusted metal.

isn't a ladie's "slip" her knickers? wasn't that the objectionable word that led to the rioting at "Playboy Of The Western World"?

just thought i'd make things a little high brow.

I never even heard of this 'ladies slip' you talk of.
